*NOT CURRENTLY TAKING NEW PATIENTS*
The most important lesson I learned in my career is the connection between physical pain and emotional pain. I strive to meet patients where they are at, and tailor the treatment to their needs.
I specialize in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, Chinese dermatology, and microneedling. Beautiful skin starts from the inside, and is achieved through balanced health.
I received a master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, in addition to a bachelor's degree in Nutrition. I am also a certified Chinese Dermatologist and member of the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Dermatology Association.

These points send messages to the brain triggering it to send blood and nerve conduction to certain areas of the body. This allows the body heal itself! Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions from stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, pain, migraines, menstrual irregularities, neuromuscular conditions, and allergies.
Acupuncture treatments include any necessary accessory modalities such as cupping, gua sha, e-stim, or moxibustion.

For best resCosmetic acupuncture is a treatment that utilizes both the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the knowledge of modern science and anatomy, to specifically treat skin conditions such as fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, scarring, and heaviness in the face and neck. It is a great option for aging naturally, because cosmetic acupuncture doesn’t just treat the skin, it treats the whole body. This treatment is paired with facial cupping and gua sha to increase the results.
For best results, we recommend 1-2x/week for 10-12 sessions

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic treatment that pushes needles superficially into the skin creating micro-channels. This elicits the body’s natural healing response of sending collagen and elastin to that area, causing the skin to repair and rejuvenate. The microneedle pen presses concentrated serums, which are applied during and after the treatment, into the skin so they can be absorbed up to 3,000x more efficiently. This process allows for quick and long-lasting results.
Microneedling treats fine lines, wrinkles acne scarring, hyperpigmentation/sunspots, uneven texture, enlarged pores, and loose skin.
The treatment includes facial cupping and gua sha beforehand. During the treatment we apply hyaluronic acid and a clinical-grade serum to the face and neck to increase results. The treatment concludes with a soothing sheet mask topped with a chilled jade stone mask. We send each patient home with a tincture of hyaluronic acid for continued use.
For best results, we recommend a session every 3-4 weeks for 5-6 treatments.
Herbal formulas are used in conjunction with acupuncture to compound the results, and to restore your body to health. Chinese herbal formulas contain mostly plants. Some of them you are probably familiar with like ginger, mint, mulberry and ginseng. Although Chinese herbs are safe for most, we always consider herb-drug interactions when recommending formulas to patients.

Facial cupping, and gua sha, are a relaxing way to nourish the skin and muscles of the face. The gua sha stones massage the facial muscles and reduce tension. Facial gua sha is also great for people with TMJ, headaches, allergies, or those who grind their teeth at night. Cupping is more adept at moving fluid, or lymph, from the face. This buildup of fluid can make us look puffy, or cause sagging in the under eyes and jawline. Facial cupping and gua sha are integrated into other services offered at Elevate, and are also available as a standalone service because they make a great maintenance treatment for microneedling and cosmetic acupuncture. This can be performed weekly to tighten and tone the face.

Slide cupping is a variation of cupping that produces a stronger sensation. Before placing the cups, we apply oil to the skin, which allows us to glide them over the targeted area. This is typically recommended for those with chronic back pain, and for athletes who have regular muscle tension.
Gua sha is an accessory technique, to acupuncture, that involves scraping the skin with a porcelain spoon to reduce muscle tension and pain. It may cause a light “bruising,” like that of cupping. This is not a bruise, however, but rather “sha” which is an indication that the treatment is effective. Gua sha is best for pain in smaller area

This is not a bruise, however, but rather “sha” which is an indication that the treatment is effective. Gua sha is best for pain in smaller areas of the body, such as the neck and elbows. This treatment is beneficial for those with carpal tunnel syndrome, or those who sit for long periods of time during the day.
Moxibustion, or moxa, is a warming therapy that uses a Chinese herb to increase circulation and decrease water retention. The moxa is light like an incense and placed near the surface of the skin. Moxa is often used to soothe menstrual cramps, and reduce bruising or inflammation from trauma. This is performed in addition to acupuncture, for patients who are applicable.

Electric stimulation applies a pulsating electrical current through the acupuncture needles to generate blood flow to certain areas of the body. By stimulating blood flow to injured tissues, we can increase the rate of healing. Electric stimulation is most effective on acute injuries, such as pulled muscles, strains, and sprains.
